Jan 23rd, 2013 | |  Seat Removal for Triton TR196 #5131490 07/26/10 06:16 PM | OP  Outdoorsman Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 226 | I need to clean behind my driver and passenger seats. Can't figure out how to remove them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you.

There is a small lumbar support it has three small screws that hold it on - one at the top and two at each bottom corner. you have to wedge the seam apart and there is a small hole in the seat material you have to put the screwdriver thru. They are phillips head screws and very hard to see. When you get these out you can get to the two large screws that hold the back of the seat to the boat ( I only removed the top one and just pushed it down far enough to get at the two big screws) After you get those two out remove the 4 or 5 ones on the front bottom and the seat will come out. Hard part is putting it back. Those two big screws go into anchors in the boat and mine don't line up just right - very hard to get them started back straight.

I'll look at the seats this afternoon and see. I have stupid mud dobblers that have built their nests behind the seats. I can barely see them but can't reach them to clean them up.

I removed my seats on a older ranger to do a recarpet job. Removal wasn't too bad but man getting it back was rough and never did get it right. It may not be as bad for a Triton so good luck.
